Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club is rapidly following the same path set out by the Jazz Cafe of Camden - a Jazz club in name only, with the increasing booking of artists with little or no connection to Jazz.

Mostly at Ronnie Scott's the only Jazz is at the upstairs club used for Jam sessions.

This is even worse than the Jazz Cafe because here we have an increasing abuse of the Jam session format - resident fairly competent group while those joining the jam sessions get paid nothing - basically its jazz on the cheap for the club.
