Electronic Music No.32 by William Lennox was originally planned for Realisation at the La Jolla Studios of the University of San Diego California in 1987.

The lack of agreement that led to the abandonment of the project and the transfer of the work to the composers own Studio X .

This is relevant to the development of AX1n - as a part of the project the composer was asked to take a level of proficiency in 'C' and Unix - as the composer had recently developed Algol X which was actually partly based on a criticism of the range of the Language 'c' , this was not acceptable.

It is also relevant to mention that in the period of preparation for this composition spent in La Jolla, an interest was expressed in the composition Electronic Music No.14 (Metaphysica Empirica I) but no attempt to arrange any performance or to describe any of the innovations involved in its production.

Electronic Music No.32 was planned then as essentially spatially based development of the harmony in composition and that is how it progressed in its preliminary production in 1993 using R83 and R84 integrated with Spahar.
